Son and Heir is feeling pasta deprived. Or so he says. My freezer is bereft of bolognaise. I did find yet another small chunk of topside though. So tonight we will have pasta with a simple ragu. I’m waiting for the Lil Miss to wake so we can go food shopping so vegetables will be at a minimum. I guess I can toss a salad together when we get home though.

A Simple Thermomix Ragu
Which can of course be cooked on the stove top with a little more manual chopping and stirring.
1 onion
3 cloves garlic
chunk of topside, cut into small pieces
1 400g tin tomatoes
1 small tin tomato paste
1 tablespoon oregano, chopped
1 tablespoon basil, chopped
1/2 tomato tin of water
1 anchovy.
Place onion and garlic in thermomix and chop for 10 seconds on speed 7. Add all other ingredients. Cook at 100 degrees for 15 minutes on reverse speed 1.
Serve on cooked pasta with grated parmesan.
