Shocking though this seems to me, First Born is SIX years old. Really. I’ve been doing this parenting gig for six years. Crazy. In fact, I think this is the third of his birthdays that I’ve blogged about. Which must mean that this blog has recently had a birthday too.

Since October, Lil Miss has had her heart set on a teddy bears ‘nicnic’ for her third birthday. What mother could deny such a humble request? Not this one anyway.
To avoid the whole saga of cleaning the house only to have it destroyed by hyped up preschoolers, we elected to picnic at a wonderful park [...]

Cooking with friends
Son and Heir was invited to a cooking party at Kids in the Kitchen on the weekend. Could there be anything cuter than a little boy in a chefs hat? He had the most wonderful time and has been saying ever since that he wants to be a chef when he grows up. [...]

I didn’t follow the recipe, I just made a meatloaf mix of a little beef, a little lamb, breadcrumbs, an egg, onion, garlic, a diced [...]

I’m off to yum cha tomorrow for a friend’s birthday. I wanted to take her a little birthday treat and figured a small cake was somewhat apt. Only thing is, my house is rather devoid of sweet things right now as I still have two rogue Christmas kilos to banish from my nether region.
I did [...]
