Cooking Party

Cooking with friends
Son and Heir was invited to a cooking party at Kids in the Kitchen on the weekend. Could there be anything cuter than a little boy in a chefs hat? He had the most wonderful time and has been saying ever since that he wants to be a chef when he grows up. The kids made big star biscuits (cookies) and decorated them. They also coloured icing and iced and decorated cupcakes. Naturally I shuddered internally at the food, the colouring in particular but I’m not such a purist as to begrudge my first born such fun.
For the parents it was a very relaxing hour and half and the Ankle Biters had a wonderful. It’s a wonderful concept for a party and if it keeps a group of five and six year old boys under control, it can only be a winner.

What fun! And what an adorable little boy Son and Heir is!
I haven’t heard of ‘Kids in the Kitchen’. We have ‘Little Kitchen’ over our way, and my girl has attended a few cooking classes there. Sabrina (the owner) is a lovely woman. They have parties too (although we haven’t had one there yet). Such an excellent idea. And they are sooo proud of themselves and the results they produce.

I’ve heard of a few of these places but we hadn’t been yet. I’m glad I got to check it out. It really is a great way to keep them occupied.
