But the beauty of it was what I didn't do. I didn't knead, I didn't prove. I didn't hover at home for hours over each stage. It really made a mockery of all my previous baking. Particularly the loaf of sour dough that preceded it that took 32 hours and although good, was not as good as this loaf. I do love he wee trollies, I just wish she wouldn't ram the back of my legs with it. It's not as funny as she thinks it is. I did bake that bread Docwitch. But the beauty of it was what I didn’t do. I have been playing around no end with this recipe. Today I made another apple muesli braid (rectangle dough, sliced apples, muesli, honey, butter in the middle section, slice ribbons in the outside sections which I then braided) To die for I tell you!
