The Golden Arches and what they mean to my son
Jul 1st, 2008 by Dani
My brother indulged Son and Heir’s new found love of football on the weekend with hat, scarf and vest and a small football emblazoned with a big yellow M. All of which absolutely made Son and Heir’s day. He hasn’t taken the clothes off and has even been cuddling the football in bed at night.
He told me that the ball has a big ‘M’ on it. A yellow M. Which means McDonalds. “Oh, really” says I, “and what is McDonalds?” His reply? “It’s a shop where you can buy toys, some kids bring them to kinder for show and tell”.
It was a mighty proud parenting moment.
I suspect school will strike the death knell of this particular breed of ignorance but I intend to thoroughly enjoy it in the meantime.

fantastic! you’ve done well lady
Perhpas Son and Heir can be taught to to teach kids that junk food is bad for them and also encouraged to talk up Mum’s healthy cooking.
That’s brilliant : )
