Nate I definitely prefer boiled. The recipe I used for these boils them for a couple of minutes per side in water with a dash of malt extract and then bakes. The result was fantastic. 

Karen I haven't found one I love yet. I'm working my way through my library's collection. The one I'm using at the moment which is probably the most comprehensive I've used so far is 'Bread' by Christine Ingram and Jennie Shapter. It's got some great explanatory pages and massive amounts of recipes for traditional bread baking and bread machines.</description>
