Scenes from a Friday afternoon

Fridays kind of suck. At Chez KP, Friday is house cleaning day. The top to toe kind. Which is made even more difficult by the presence of under foot Ankle Biter types, tired and cranky from their morning swim.
Sometimes though, the day comes together well. The chores get done plus more. Today was one of those days. We had a good morning at the pool, officially welcomed in school holidays with Son and Heir’s last lesson for the term, got the house cleaned, had the broken cooling fan in the oven replaced and the food shopping done (under budget) all by 4.00pm. Goodness only knows how that happened. I took advantage of my unexpected efficiency and got some of my weekend kitchen chores underway.

Thermomix vegetable stock concentrate (double batch)
Chicken stir fry waiting for the Bread Winner to get home.
Bread for breakfast
Leaving only the fun stuff for the weekend. And that makes for a happy Dani!
Go away. We can’t have that sort of efficiency around here. Are you trying to show us normal humans up or something? Sheesh.
