It's crazy isn't it? If I see a recipe on a blog I read that's not my cup of tea, I just don't comment. What's so hard about that? Why oh why would you waste your time reading someone's blog if you think so poorly of it? Oh well, I guess with a readership as big as PW's attracting the internet crazy contingent is somewhat inevitable. And boy that anonymous gets around doesn't s/he? :D

lmao Dani...yes I can think of a few not quite family friendly names too! They're getting particularly narky over the last recipe! Ok, so there may have been a bit of excess in the quantities used in the marinade but if the milk works the milk WORKS people!!! Sheesh. I've seen similar recipes out there that call for milk as a marinade. What I can't get over is that this is HER competition she is doing of her own accord. She decided on the finalists. She rationalised it and they're jumping down her throat for making those decisions!!! Instead of taking the polite option and saying the dish wouldn't be for them.

Okay, totally agreed about comments. I've gotten so fed up with it that I blogged about it - I like to think I have a thick skin, but it still drives me crazy to see people rip on us and each other and PW and anyone else online. Especially PW, because it's so amazing of her to put so much time and effort into her website and share her life with us . . . and then people say rude and stupid things. The American word for such folks is "douchebag" - what do you Aussies call them?

Figs last blog post..<a href="http://dizzlefig.blogspot.com/2008/08/this-is-how-you-internet.html" rel="nofollow">This is how you Internet</a>

Hi Dani - I've been reading your site ever since the dairy finalists were announced, and I love it! I intend to try many of your recipes, including your savory bread pudding. :-) Thanks for kind words!

Thanks Em. I wish I did too! Reminds me I must email you and pick you clever gardening brain : )
Thanks Trace : )
It's a stiff competition that's for sure, I'm betting on the black bean chowder at this stage. Having said that we're having the cheese scones with garlic soup for dinner tonight.
