Hi KimdaCook! I have weird freaky children who love their veg. Especially green. Their only prejudice is inherited from their father. Orange vegies. They're not keen on pumpkin, carrot or sweet potato...with the exception of pickled carrot. :D

Wow that surprises me that sauce has veggies in it was just wondering do your kids enjoy this recipe, just trying to get kids to eat veggies is sometimes impossible, let alone get them to eat a green sauce.

Broccoli & bacon sounds wonderful. Pasta is great! Tonight we tried something new: a roasted tomato sauce from The River Cottage Cookbook with spaghetti and slices of bacon bought last weekend from the farmer's market. And Parmesan. A hit with the two year old and a hit with me! :-)

Yep, like Karen said Fig, its spaghetti bolognese. I would have used more cream too but that's all I had left :D

Yum. Yum yum. What's a spag bog?

And I'm ashamed to say it, but there would be quite a bit more than a tablespoon of cream involved if I were to make that sauce. :-) Cream is a dear friend of mine, and he comes to dinner with me often.

Hi Nate. My thought process went roughly from pork and sage to bacon and sage and then the broccoli had to be used up too. The sage was actually a little bit lost. Well it didn't have its usual power anyway, so the blend worked nicely.

That is an interesting flavor combination - sage and broccoli. I can dig the other two - bacon and cream. Yum!
