One week wheat challenge
Nov 23rd, 2008 by Dani
For no particular reason, I have decided to forgo wheat for one week. I decided this yesterdy shortly after eating a chocolate croissant from the Convent bakery in Abbotsford. Thus, I have been a wheat free person for almost 36 hours now. When I say no particular reason, I am not being strictly accurate. One must have a reason of course. For me it’s all about curiosity. Will I feel any different? How hard will it be? What will I eat in place of wheat based foods?
And then I chose to torture myself by baking this.
But I didn’t eat any.

oh my word – that is torture. What are the red bits that in the bread? Capsicum? It looks superb.
Good luck with being wheat free for the week. By the end of it you’ll probably relish a great slab of sour dough…*sniffle, sniffle*
Mind you, a slab of rye with a mountain o’ avo on top is always a possibility isn’t it? Since you’re going wheat free rather than gluten free.

um…could you tell from my last comment that I fantasise somewhat fruitlessly about Forbidden Breads?
Docwitchs last blog post..There’s Magic in Them Thar Hills
It’s capsicum and tomato Docwitch. And basil and cheese. I had kind of gathered you have bread fantasies. After only a few days I can see why. I had to refuse the loveliest looking scones this afternoon.
I’d rather go without air than without any form of carbohydrate. I admire your fortitude.
There’s always potato Fig. Bless the potato.
