Would love a school holiday catchup but alas we are driving to Brisbane for the holidays. It's Jan's 40th on July 3rd so we'll be up there for her birthday. Any chance of a friday catchup at some point? I know JJ is keen too. Miss you xx

Hi TruelyPru, totally agree with your assessment of the food. Glad I wasn't being too picky. I do so hate being a negative nancy if it's not really justified. Funny thing about Melbourne that whole demographic centre thing isn't it? Great if you're south east but a pain in the butt for the rest of us.
heehee Sharon, one of these days maybe I will! A sleepover would have been fun. I haven't seen you in forever. We must do a school holiday catch up.

I congratulate you girls on the efforts you make with the family commitments as well. Keep up the great work.

We went to the demo and waited and waited and waited too. Fortunately it wasn't too cold.

Mulgrave is near the demographic centre of Melbourne - but a bloody long way from my home too. Tolls as well as petrol for us.

There were some good tips and ideas, and Nico seems to be a genuine, informative presenter. He was able to handle most of the queries without hesitstion.

I thought that the sorbet was a bit tart and would have been better without the peel. Made it a bit chewy. The hummus was bit lemony - may have been better to taste & alter with more oil or chick peas. The fish cakes that were prepared ready for eating after the demo were overcooked & a bit watery, sure, but the idea was sound.

Yes, the pannacotta gets a big tick - but then it was full of cream & chocolate.

Basically I would congratulate the Thermomix team for bringing Nico and having a demo to give me a new interest in my machine. There really aren't many other places to get information/hints.

Again, thanx girls for your efforts in keeping up our interest in new recipes, ideas for the fantastic machine.

i'm finding it hard to get motivated with cooking or bloggin atm too.

interesting about last night - in the FB group they were mostly negative about the demo that was done in perth months ago, you'd think he'd have sorted out the problems by now!
