Hello hello :)
Glad you liked the pide bread. I made it for Saturday lunch too!
BUT... I did something *different*. And it worked LOL.
I cooked some beef mince with LOTS of ground black pepper, a red onion and some garlic, sprinkled with sumac and tossed through cubed feta and chopped parsley. Then I rolled the pide dough really thin, cut into 4 rectangular pieces, put the meat mixture down the middle and rolled up. Baked it in the oven for not sure how long (maybe 20 mins?). Yummo. Might try cooking it under the sandwich press next time.

Isn't the farmer's market nuts? Wonderful, but the crowds are unbelievable. We haven't been for many moons, but I'd like to get back there. Spring is a lovely time to go, and I always find the most glorious cheese there.
You've got me hankering after a garden (I have a balcony only I'm afraid).

And...I just whipped up your gorgeous tuna, chickpea and olive salad for our lunches tomorrow, so thankyou!

Docwitchs last blog post..<a href="http://darksideofthebroom.blogspot.com/2008/09/domestication-and-errant-fairies.html" rel="nofollow">Domestication and Errant Fairies</a>

Definitely let me know how you go! It's reasonably bomb proof as bread recipes go. Collingwood market is kind of special isn't it?

you read my mind with the turkish bread. I was thinking just the other day that I need to make that. You'll be proud of my new found interest in making bread. I'll let you know how I go.
and the Collingwood market. Man I miss that place. we just don't have anything as good here.
