Hi Gabi. That's a great tip about the beans. I will definitely try that. It would have been perfect for the adzuki bean soup. I would still soak and cook for things like minestrone where chunks are good but if you're going to puree anyway, that is brilliant. I think I just fell a little bit more in love with my thermomix. It's exactly this sort of tip that makes it such an amazing time saver. Thanks Gabi!

Hi, I'm a thermomix fanatic and love to cook with it (although in Portugal - where I live - it's called Bimby). I used to cook the beans the same way as you do until I discovered I can grind the beans (without even having to soak them) - about 2 mins on vel. 10 - and cook them directly afterwards in the thermomix with vegetables for a soup! No need to pre-soak or pre-cook. Amazing!

Oh it's easy. I just don't do anything else. Ever. Actually, I don't think I could get through so much without the thermomix, it makes such short work of so many tasks and frees up my hands to do other things. I still spent most of the weekend in the kitchen. Most of Monday afternoon and evening too if it comes to that. And probably much of tomorrow by the time I finish working through the plums and apples...
Glad you liked the fairy butt : D
