Ron thanks so much for your comment. Being the oldest of five, with a big age gap between myself and my siblings I've seen how quickly it passes and I treasure every moment of my two being little. I must say though, my daughters teenage years terrify me more than the thought of my son's!
It sounds like you've done a fine job raising your three. I hope I can say the same when mine are grown.

Your post is so cute and so touching.....Seriously..... I have 3 children, all grown now, two in the military....

And I remember dropping each one of them off for Kindergarten, taking photos, and driving away with tears streaming down my face.

But, as a father of three, who went through teenage with all of them.....I read your part regarding making him a smock for art class and think to myself..... Please, ENJOY this time, because they grow up so quickly and someday you might:

Have to deal with him refusing to wear anything but droopy jeans that show his underwear and wants to wear chains on his wallet, and black shirts with skulls on the shirtfront....

LOL, please understand I'm not trying to freak you out, they just change so much, and your post touched a chord in me harking back to when my "short people" were little....

And don't worry, my "skulls" on the front of his shirt? Now wears a Navy uniform on the USS Eisenhower..... and STILL call's his Daddy twice a week.....

Nice post....
