Late season mini harvest
Apr 1st, 2008 by Dani
Autumn has definitely arrived in Melbourne. We’ve even had several days of glorious rain. Such a treat. Seemingly overnight, patches of green appeared in the previously brown, dirty landscape. The temperatures have dropped considerably. I’ve rummaged through wardrobes bringing long pants, long sleeved tops and jumpers to the fore. Parkas and rain jackets are at the ready. A warm day now is in the mid-twenties, not the high thirties. We may in true Melbourne style get the odd hot day appear out of nowhere during April but there is no guarantee of that.
Change of season always inspires purging. The first thing was the Ankle Biters wardrobe and drawers. Today, it’s the garden. There is not really much of anything left except for the new autumnal plantings but what there is needs to be harvested and used or preserved.

Lots of basil, Thai basil and chillies, some lovely new potatoes, 1 lonely banana chili and the cutest little miniature pumpkin.

I’m definitely pleased to find this area.I desired to thank you for this pretty through out!!! I definitely enjoying each and every bit of touch of it and I’ve you bookmarked to much new important things you write-up.
