Freezer Fun and other odds and ends
Jul 25th, 2008 by Dani
I ordered half an animal today. A 9 – 10 month old grass fed vealer. That’s 60 odd kilograms of dead animal I need to store. So the next couple of weeks whilst waiting for delivery, I will be cleaning out the contents of the freezer. I sorted the contents today and wrote a list of meals that will work at combining all the various bits and pieces I have stashed away.
In other news from my kitchen this week, I have tried a couple of recipes from the thermomix book this week. Big thumbs up to both the Asian style fish fillets and the creamy tomato and salami fettucine.
A tip about baking. Do not turn the oven off and then insert bread for baking. It won’t bake. On the bright side, kneading it again, proving for the third time and baking in an oven that is turned on will produce a loaf of bread that is edible if not up to usual standards.
Sorry I’ve not been very bloggy this week, other tasks have taken precedence. Hopefully I’ll be back in form next week.

Thanks for making the effort to turn up to the blogmeet yesterday
Hope you enjoyed it.
another outspoken females last blog post..the final Tassie treasures
The pleasure was all mine. Hopefully next time I will be sans Ankle Biters and more able to involve myself in adult conversation! Thank you for organising it
The Asian Fish Fillets are good – love having the rice cooking at same time.
Ditto with lack of blog presence – sometimes the real world calls.
Sometimes the world can be kind- eg with triple proved bread.
good work
Thermomixers last blog post..Thermomix Smoky Tomato Sorbet
any recipe that cooks everything at once in one place can only be good. The bread was nothing to write home about but at least it wasn’t wasted!
