Environmentally Friendly Contraception

So it would have to have no packaging, no transport miles, no manufacturing waste. It can be achieved. OK, so it’s permanent. Fine by me. Also, in our house, it got inflicted on the male so I feel just fine. I’m not completely heartless though, if my husband is willing to get neutered have a vasectomy, I’m willing to make him the dinner of his choice. Which, as it happens was gnocchi bolognese. Too easy. Especially as I had the bolognese already in the freezer.
I started to make the gnocchi in the thermomix but the batch was too big so I did most of it by hand.
Gnocchi
1kg potatoes, peeled, boiled and mashed
400g plain flour
1 dob butter
seasoning
1 egg
Mix everything together and knead well with wet hands. Roll into finger width sausages and cut into 2 cm portions. I shape just by pressing a fork into one side of each piece. Because I find making gnocchi strangely boring. Which is a shame because fresh gnocchi is delicious.
Approx. cost per serve $1.65

damn! that sounds easy enough for me, i’ll be filing this one away for future use. does it freeze well?

It freezes beautifully Leslie. Not that the gnocchi gluttons around here left me any to freeze!
