By the way, we took my mum to a well known city hotel for afternoon tea for her 60th birthday and she now says that she would have preferred to come here instead!

We went today for my daughter's 4th birthday. It was more grownups (the Melbourne catch up with grandparents) but we had 4 big little girls (2 1/2, 4, 4 1/2 and 5 1/2) who had a wonderful time. We ordered "party platters" for the kids that had watermelon, fairy bread, mini scones, butterfly cakes, mini franks, honey joys.... you get the picture. A fabulous time and perfect to catch up with a mixed group. Highly recommend the chocolate scones but I tasted most of those on offer....... Definite plans to go back again and try some more. Perhaps the high tea platter next time????

Thank you so much for the detailed description of DATM. We have been searching high and low for the best scones around and it has been a long and hard journey I tell ya. We are planning a visit sometime very soon after your fantastic review.

Chocolate delight scones certainly sounds wonderful too.

ponikutas last blog post..<a href="http://ponikuta.blogspot.com/2008/08/lush-lips.html" rel="nofollow">Lush lips</a>

Hi Vivienne, thanks for visiting my little place! You've done a wonderful job and Lil Miss and I have in fact made a date to bring her Grandma for some of your wonderful scones. So on the afternoon of the 17th, we will be sure to day hello.

You got from it exactly what was intended!! I wanted it to be a place where girls no matter what age can enjoy. The doll room was intended to conjour up memories and obviously it did for you. I thank you for your lovely comments and please make yourself known next time you and Lil Miss come to visit. Comments like these make it a pleasure there every day for me!!
PS ~ Theres lots of my Nanna there too! I miss her greatly and a lot of what we do (including the scone recipe) come from her!!

Oops, sorry for the morbid post ending. That was a bit much to inflict on you all. Miss Puddleduck would love it. It's little girl paradise and the scones are big girl paradise. Hmm, I wonder how we could swing a girly morning or afternoon there sans boys?
