That’s tagged backwards. No idea why it should be. It just is. Maybe because Son and Heir still says backwhoops for backwards and I find it almost unbearably cute.
So the fabulous Penni over at Eglantine’s Cake has tagged me for a ’some facts about me’ meme. And here I am, it’s Saturday night, the Bread Winner is out, the Ankle Biters asleep, watching old episodes of Fry and Laurie and knitting a tunic for the Lil Miss and drinking shiraz . Why not take a meme break?
So here’s the deal;
1. The rules of the game get posted at the beginning
2. Each player answers the questions about themselves.
3. At the end of the post, the player tags 5 people and posts their name, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know they’ve been tagged and asking them to read your blog.
What was I doing 10 years ago?
Hmm, I was 27 and a couple of years into being shacked up with the Bread Winner in a tiny little house in North Fitzroy. The location was incredible but the house wasn’t. There was a crack in the lounge room that you could literally see day light through. We were proud parents of 2 dogs. Mine was a staffy/lab cross called Baldric. Best dog ever. Sadly he was overly attached to me and was not willing to share. I had to find him a new home when Son and Heir was a tiny tot before he became a dog’s dinner. Son and heir that it, not Baldric. I’m not exactly sure where I was working. I’m also not positive if it was that year or the year before that I went wandering to the States for the first time, Jamaica, Central America and the UK. Whichever year it was I was undoubtedly partying a lot and generally sowing wild oats of some description. Not an overly memorable year I guess.
Five snacks I enjoy in a perfect, non weight-gaining world:
1. creamy blue cheese
2. chocolate mousse made with rapunzel chocolate
3. brains and bacon sangers
4. devils on horseback
5. hot jam doughnuts from a roadside van at the market
Five snacks I enjoy in the real world more nutritious snacks (since I am not opposed to eating the above in this plane of reality):
1. salad and mayonnaise in lavash bread
2. tomato slices on plain crackers with a sprinkling of sea salt
3. miso and butter on sourdough toast
4. crispy almonds
5. fuji apples
Five things I would do if I were a billionaire:
1. Move into a different primary school zone
2. Buy a second and maybe even third thermomix
3. Have a double size oven
4. Have big built up vegetable garden beds, an orchard and a gardener to keep them up to date so I could just potter as I chose.
5. Have chooks, goats, a jersey house cow and 2 pet rats.
Five jobs that I have had:
1. Swimming instructor
2. Desktop publisher
3. Office Manager
4. Workplace trainer
5. Caterer
Three of my habits:
1. biting my lips
2. cracking my knuckles
3. tugging my left ear lobe while thinking hard
Five places I have lived:
All in Melbourne because that’s the only place I’ve lived
1. East Ivanhoe
2. North Fitzroy
3. St Kilda
4. Hawthorn
5. Lower Templestowe
Five people I want to get to know better: (A nice way of saying TAG!)
I’m going to be all meme rebellious here and tell you that if you’re reading this and feel so inclined, consider yourself tagged. Because I always feel vaguely uncomfortable at telling people what to blog. Just a weird little quirk of mine.
