‘Twas a long day in the kitchen. Lil Miss, Jacques Pepin and me.







What we made:
- tomato soup
- tomato balls (boules de tomates)
- potatoes Anna (pommes Anna)
- broccoli and cauliflower with lemon butter (choux panaches au beurre de citron
- stuffed pork chops with sour sauce (cotelettes de proc farcies charcutiere)
and it was nice to break away from the usual more functional style of weekday cooking that has over run my life.



Magnifique! How completely divine! This is the kind of meal my French grandmere makes. I still find it the most satisfying kind of food. Definitely worth the time in the kitchen!

Ohhh, can I borrow your Grandmere Docwitch? Its divine food and I love taking te time out to prepare it. Certainly not every day cooking with the time involved…unless of course I’d used tinned tomatoes, had some demi-glace in the freezer etc…
