300g meat, 4 people, am I a miser?

Roast dinner tonight. For some reason I decided to make a roast with the world’s smallest piece of meat. I felt justified because I had two little butternut pumpkins which I decided to halve and use as bowls of a sort. Nice chunky little pumpkins with small balls of pips and lots of flesh. Everyone certainly had sufficient, small meat portions notwithstanding.
Approx. cost per serve $1.40




LOL no, not at all!
though i admit i would struggle with serving such a small amount of meat for a roast (especially for dh and my carnivorous children!) but would happily serve that small amount in a stir fry, salad etc etc

The funny thing was that no one even noticed the sparcity of meat. I had virtually none admittedly but it’s rare I’m really in the mood for meat. It was all about the pumpkin and spouts for me.
