A world of food blogs

Gosh there’s a lot of food blogs out there. A seriously enormous amount. Best of all, a large number of them have some fantastic content. I could have a blogroll as long as my arm and in fact I seem well on my way to achieving that.
The flip side of all this fascinating foodie discussion is an unbelievable high wank quotient. Is there anything more pretentious than an amateur (or even not so amateur) foodie? Well there is the artistic world I guess. Is that the issue? Are we cooking types lamenting that all our creativity lies in the kitchen as opposed to actual artistic talent? I would imagine there are people out there with both artistic talent and culinary talent but I’m willing to bet they’re not the ones with wanky food blogs.
